The Benefits of Upgrading Your Toad® for Oracle License

Since introducing Toad for Oracle, we have released additional products that carry the Toad name. Some are Toad products that support other database platforms , while others are designedto support particular types of users such as analysts, application developers, and database administrators.Until recently, the way these products have been licensed hasn’t changed, and this has created some challenges for customers. However, a new form of licensing was introduced with the release of Toad for Oracle v10.0 in October 2009.  

This paper explores the differences between the original licensing method and the new one, as well as the challenges associated with using the “old style” license key. This paper also explains why it’s a good idea to start thinking about upgrading your keys now.
